Been a while. Thought I'd change my layout. I do wish I could customize in a way that I could use some of my pictures from Japan.

Haven't watched Smallville in a while. I do wish Ms. Allison Mack all the best; she deserves it. Find it interesting that she's played Power Girl in "Superman/Batman: Public Enemies."

Why do I always seem to root for the underdog who ends up crapped on?

Life, work, et cetera.

Just a random thought:

If Kristin Kruek left Smallville because she wanted to do Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, I have to know: did the show suck so bad that she would choose to do *that*?

A little quandary.

I want to start writing in my blog again. Haven't been able to due to being worn out at work.

I've read in the blogverse that it's never a good idea to write about work, because you could be seen in a negative light, or be misconstrued.

I want to write about it, so.. should I lock it up to friends-only or private?

I find that people want other people to be what they wish they were.

Hope
Well, a little note. I'm off to the north with my mother to see Busena for a couple of days. Hope to take lots of pictures and videos (hopefully the botched software won't attempt to destroy my videos).

And on an unrelated note, friendy bots can go to a place where magnets are everywhere. That is all.

When is a bot not a bot?

wtf
I don't know about any of you, but have you been friended by a deluge of people who don't have normal names? Is it wrong for me to think that Russian people actually *want* to read my entries or has it been the lack of entries that prompted this?

Seriously. Is it me? Am I a spam *not the meat by-product variety* magnet?

A little bit of tech.

So, I'm back with my mom visiting Japan. And I found out what her new system is.

Don't click here if you don't want to read about tech stuff. )

What a day I had. Or should I say several. Went from SFO to Narita for 11 hours on one of the most cramped seats I have ever sat in. But it had an entertainment system behind the seat back, so I played a couple of games and watched Twilight. Sad to say, I really didn't get the point. The movie was different - the acting wasn't entirely natural, but I guess that would be the point, considering the story. I'm beginning to think the other guy is a werewolf or shapeshifter. Is it more of the Underworld (werewolves vs. vampires) theme? Hard to tell.

I feel like hell warmed over. But no, I didn't catch swine flu. I'm still good.

Just had sushi my mother picked up from Jirocho. God, the difference is freshness on Okinawa and in the States is like night and day. The sake (salmon) just melted in my mouth.

It's getting late, but for some reason it feels like early morning to me.

Just a quick note..

Off to the airport to Japan for my mother's belated Mother's Day gift. Me.

Little bits of random:

1. Been really busy at work. Doing fingerprints. Lots and lots of fingerprints.

2. I hate Clark and Ollie. Is it so bad I want Davis/Doomsday to kick their collective self-righteous butts to the next world? What kind of show wants you to root for the villain and hate the heroes? If anything, I think I've learned that actions don't make the man. Clark Kent can do super things, but he's not so super - just a man. Ollie is not a hero anymore - he's nothing more than the scum he's trying to take off the streets.

3. Going to be visiting my mom soon.

4. Never eat chocolate covered coffee beans and try to fall asleep. It just isn't happening.

5. Saw something funny on Youtube - but it isn't the video, it's the interstitial add (the one where it does the overlay over the video). Volvo had one where it was talking about how safe the new car is - "auto breaking by city safety". I believe they meant braking, as coming to a stop, not breaking, as in.. well, you know.

6. Pray to the TV gods that Sam Witwer can come back to Smallville next season; the show won't be the same without him. Oh, and ask the gods to give Chloe Sullivan a break. Please.

Pieces of random:

If you know you are going to be disappointed in something and if you know if it's going to make you mad, would you watch it? Yes, I'm talking Hex.

Twitter is best as a constant updating app, not so much as a website.

In Pollyanna, her broken arm was a metaphor for her broken spirit.

And I'm feeling a little broken myself.

With all this talk I've been hearing about Hex, I've been visited by a horrible, terrible, outrageous plot bunny.

It is not of the good.

Still grappling with my other idea. It apparently is too big.

I couldn't help myself.

On one of the sites I went to find Legion pics, I came across an ad that one would appreciate:

Smallville is casting. No experience needed. All looks & types.

Apparently that also extends to writers?

;)

A note on frustration.

Well.  I've discovered something about myself and writing and blogging.  I love to write.  But blogging all the time could result in noise, which can irritate readers and friends and what have you.  Especially if you have multiple posts in one day.

What is the point of having a blog if you can't write when you want to?  You have to wait to write something down so you won't be a pain.  It kills the purpose of the blog in the first place.

Is it really so bad to have more than one subject to write about in more than one post a day?

I use twitter, and it's fun to write down thoughts and other things - love food, love podcasts, etc.  But sometimes I want to write more than 140 characters, but less than one major blog post.

What to do?

Well, now I feel sheepish.
